Their daughter Nora Boan married Lacy King Davis and sometime after 1936 Ervin Thetus went to live with her daughter and Lacy in Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina.
Ervin Thetus Brock Boan died 1 February 1962 in Statesville, North Carolina and was buried beside her husband George W. at Betheda UMC Cemetery, Chesterfield County, South Carolina.
