They were destroyed with the burning of the Courthouse. There are a few “Equity Records” in the State Archives. Do not overlook this valuable resources if you are looking for ancestors in Chesterfield County, South Carolina.

Robert J. Vick, father of Elizabeth ’Lizzie’ Vick Odom, died on 17 May 1896 leaving her Mother, Louisa Watson Vick a widow with four small children.  Louisa married James Aaron Sellers in early 1900 sometime before the census enumeration occurred in June 1900.

About 1913, Elizabeth ’Lizzie’ Vick married John Dwight Odom. This marriage year is a calculation based on the birth of their first born child, Mendel Wilson Odom, on 7 September 1914.  Another document from a Chesterfield Estate Folder #1390, labeled Lizzie Odom shows Lizzie Vick signing her name as Lizzie Odom on 17 December 1913.
