Treasure Chest Thursday~Bond for Marriage Licensee~John Hunnicutt, Sr. to Lucy Thornton

This past week I have spent quite some time on Hunnicutt, Huneycutt and Honeycutt research. The Huneycutt's are part of my paternal line and beginning with my Great Grandmother Louvena Huneycutt Deese (Oct 1855 – Oct 1889). The first Hunnicutt arrived in Virginia in 1635.

William HUNCOTE was born in 1600 in England. He emigrated on 24 Jul 1635 from London, England. He died in Surrey County, VA. He was English. On July 24, 1635, William Huncote, age 35, set sail on the ship "Assurance" from the port of London, England to Virginia. 1
