52 Cousins~The William A. Sellers, Sr. Family

William A. Sellers, Sr. was borne 10 April 1842 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. His parents were Noah Sellers and Timmey Ellen Parsons. He was the 2nd born of eight children with 2 sisters and 5 brothers.  

Sometime between 1846 and 1850 Noah and Timmey moved their families from Chesterfield, SC to Carroll County, Tennessee. They were in Carroll County in 1848 when their 5th borne child arrived. 

William A. Sellers was 18 years old in 1860. Sometime between 1860 and 1880, William A. Sellers left home and migrated to Ellis County, Texas. 

There on 19 September 1881 William A. Sellers married Eppie Irene Young, age 21. 

Eppie Irene was born 4 October 1859 a child of Redmond Bennett Young and his wife Martha Eleanor [MNU] Young. 

William A. Sellers was a retail merchant in Fisher County, Texas.  William and Eppie Irene Young had six children


William A. Sellers and Eppie Irene Young had the following children:

i. R. Benjamin Sellers was born on 26 Mar 1883 in Burlington, Texas. 
ii. Joseph E. Sellers was born on 13 Aug 1885 in Milford, Ellis, Texas. He died on 19 Jan 1887 at the age of 1 in Milford, Ellis, Texas. 
iii. Vannie Sellers, born 27 Jun 1888, Milford, Ellis, Texas; married Harry Lewis Givens; died 3 Jul 1976, Dallas, Dallas, Texas.
iv. Ella Timethy Sellers, born 24 May 1891, Ellis County, Texas; married Joe Jiles Walker, 8 Dec 1915, Fisher, Texas; died 23 May 1950, Sweetwater, Nolan, Texas.
v. Lula Sellers, born 24 Jan 1894, Milford, Ellis, Texas; married Elmer Ellsworth Hodges; died 10 Jan 1982, Hamblin, Jones, Texas.
i. William A. Sellers Jr. was born on 16 Oct 1896 in Milford, Ellis, Texas.  He died on 4 Sep 1925 at the age of 28 in Longworth, Fisher, Texas. 


William A. Sellers, Sr. is my 1st Cousin 3X Removed.

  1. The title caught my attention because i have either 34 or 36 first cousins! We added them up one time but nobody told me the older I get the more I will forget. Every single one of us were very close and it sure is hard when you start losing them. As I began reading this blog it put a smile on my face because Texas. East Texas is where me and all those cousins come from and most of us are still here! Thank you for sharing your people with me today.
