Wm R. Eddins Deed Book J. pages 210-211
This indenture made this the 22nd day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty eight between William R. Eddins of the State of Alabama and Wilcox County of the first part and William Eddins Son of the said William R. Eddins of the second part. Witnefseth that the Said William R. Eddins as well for and in consideration of the Natural love and affection which he the said William R. Eddins hath and bareth unto the said William Eddins given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the said William Eddins his executors administrators and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the county of Wilcox and state aforesaid known by being the South End of the South West quarter of the South West quarter Section Eighteen Township Ten Range Eleven containing twenty five acres in the district of lands subject to sale at Cahaba, Ala. Together with all and singular the hereditament & appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining & the reversion remainders issues & profits thereof & all the Estate rights title interest claim or demand whatsoever of him the said party of the first part either in Law or Equity of in the above given & granted premises & Every part & parcel thereof to have & to hold said party of the second part his heirs & afsigns to the sole & only proper use benefit & behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and afsigns forever. In Witnefs whereof the Said party of the first part hath hereunto set his hand & Seal the day & year above written.

Wilcox County} Personally came before me E. H. J. Mobley a Justice of the peace in & for said County Wm. R. Eddins who acknowledged he signed Sealed & delivered to Wm. In this land deed, William Riley Eddins is giving his son William Eddins 25 acres of land in Section 18, Township 10, Range 11.
By 1848 there are several William Riley Eddins and William Eddins in Wilcox County Alabama. There is William Riley Eddins, brother to Richard Eddins and there is William Riley Eddins son of Richard Eddins.
This land deed is between William Riley Eddins, brother of Richard Edding, to his oldest son, Abner William Eddins.
William Riley Eddins is my 3rd Great Grand Uncle.
