Jessie F. Crawley was the first wife of John Nelson Davis, son of Thomas P. Davis and Nancy Jane Massey.

Jessie and John were married about 1894, Jessie and John had no children until the 1920 Census when a young lady, Retha DAVIS, daughter, age 3 9/12, born in Louisiana was enumerated with the family. As seen above Jessie Davis did not update her will to mention this child.

Jessie F. Crawley Davis passed away on 8 February 1920. Retha Davis lived a long life and was twice married.

After her death, John N. Davis remarried sometime before 1930 Frances Elizabeth “Fannie” Previtte. John and Fannie had a short time together before his sudden death on 29 September 1932.

John and Jessie are my 2nd Cousins 3 times removed.
