I enjoy your blog. Although my more recent ancestors left NC--on my dad's side in 1868 and on my mother's side a little later--my ancestry runs deep in the North Carolina soil on both my father's and my mother's side of the family, especially in Iredell, Wilkes, and surrounding counties. During a visit last fall, my husband and I looked for the grave on one of my ancestors near Turnersburg. Didn't find it, but we enjoyed the chance to explore. Blessings to you.
