Amanuensis Monday~WILL of Lewis H. Wadsworth

County of Chesterfield}
I, Lewis H. Wadsworth, of the County of Chesterfield and the State of South Carolina being of sound mind and memory do make, publish, and declare this to be my last Will and Testament to wit:
First: All my just debts and funeral expenses shall be first fully paid.
Second: I give devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my Estate, both real and personal to my beloved wife and my bodily heirs, which said estate is to be equally divided between them. To have and to hold said property to her my said wife and my bodily heirs and assign forever.
Third: At the death of my Wife the portion of the estate that I herewith give devise and bequeath to her shall be given to the heirs, born to her by me.
Fourth: I further devise give and bequeath to my said Wife Elizabeth C. Wadsworth , the homestead tract of land upon which she now lives.
Fifth: To my son J. Thomas Wadsworth I give, devise, and bequeath that portion of my estate east of my homestead palace, and upon which he now lives. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this 11th day of July AD 1907

Signed, Sealed, published and delivered as and for his last Will and Testament by the above named Testator in our presence, who have at his request and in his presence. And in the presence of each other signed our names as witnesses thereto.

Personally appeared before me, E. J. Dargan and made oath that he saw the within named Lewis H. Wadsworth sign, seal and as His act and deed deliver the within written instrument and that he with J. P. Mangum J. R. Jowers witnessed the Execution thereof.

Lewis H. Wadsworth, b. 13 Sept. 1832 was the son of John H. Wadsworth and Susannah Davis.  He married Mary Ann Freeman, daughter of Jesse Freeman and Sarah Jane Davis. Lewis and Mary Ann raised a family of 7 children; five daughters and two sons. Two additional daughters did not survive through infancy. 
 
This Will was the first clue that Lewis H. Wadsworth had remarried after the death of Mary Ann Freeman Wadsworth in February 1901, taking as his second wife, Elizabeth A. Crawford.  
 
Lewis H. Wadsworth is my 1st Cousin 4X removed.
