Samuel Boatwright, b. 5 August 1832, was a son of Lewis Boatwright, Sr. and Elizabeth Rebecca Davis.

Samuel married Sarah Ann Hurst about 1851. This date is based on their first child arriving in Dec 1852.  Sarah Ann Hurst, b. 10 Mar 1826 was a daughter of Isaac Hurst and Henriette “Ritta” Rivers. Their family would grow by an additional 4 children for a total of five siblings before the untimely death of  their Father, Samuel on 19 February 1863.

Sarah Ann would raise the children as a “single parent” never remarrying after the loss of Samuel.

Samuel Boatwright is my 1st Cousin 4 times removed.
